I get hard bumps pimple like on my face, bikini line, buttocks, underarms, that are only rarely red, but if i don't touch them they'll remain there forever.
Because they have a hard, white content that I must actually use tweezers to excise. They will not go away any other way. The white mass resembles milia, but milia are free floating, whereas these are attached. It leaves behind a small crater until it heals, but once removed, the bump finally goes away. There is no pus or fluid associated with them either. The ones that appear everywhere else except for my face, usually have a trapped hair.
I don't take any medications or oral contraceptives, but when I approached one derm, she looked at me like i was nuts, and the other said it was acne.

Waxy plugs in pores When I get a cystic acne boil, it sometimes doesn't seem to want to heal even after squeezing out the pus if any, sometimes noneand I notice a pinpoint white thing that seems to be the center of it all. And if it does heal, it heals as a round raised scar. Finally one day, i decided to use a pair of tweezers to take out that pinpoint white thing.
The site then proceeds to de-inflame and heal quickly, without a scar. The plugs seem to reside IN the pores. They actually sort of become even more prominent such that I can grab the end of it with the tweezers, and the plugs also seem to "let go" of the pore more easily. The other thing that i just noticed makes them "let go" is rubbing some neem oil over the area, but then on its way out the plug sort of slips out from tweezers because of the oil. When I do pull out one of those waxy plugs in its entirety, the pore fills with blood and starts bleeding pretty briskly for a couple minutes.
What the hell are these things???? For context, I'm a 33 year old female. I have KP over my arms since my teenage years nonpustularand under my thighs since my mids that is often pustular, mild-moderate acne that is sometimes cystic over my neck and chest always cystic on the chest.
Maybe some mild rosacea too.
Breakouts seem to be hormonal and tend to happen during "PMS" time but not always, and stress related. Wawa, have you tried one of those old-fashioned blackhead and pimple removal tools?
This might work when the tweezers fall short because you can squeeze down and toothpaste out more gunk. I don't know what that shizz is in the pimples -- I imagine it's a combo of oil, dead skin, bacteria, pus, dead demodex Originally Posted by Ghost. Originally Posted by Wawa.

Online Test for Skin Picking. How Severe is Your Picking Disorder? White Stretchy Plugs. I've always squeezed bumps and blemishes on my skin, but recently I've gone through a period of work-related stress.
I was off work for 2 months, during which time my picking and squeezing got worse. I had lots of blemishes on my chest which I squeezed and picked until I had a few nasty little wounds.
One of them became quite deep, and I discovered that when I picked the scab off there were a few little white pinhead shapes under it, in the wound. They were screaming out to me to be picked out, but I couldn't do it by hand - I had to use tweezers. Sometimes I found I would need a wool needle to ease the white thing out a bit before the tweezers could get hold of them.
When I pulled, a white elasticy thing would stretch and then come out. It was about 2mm long. This made my picking worse, and I now find I am thinking of it quite a lot of the day.
I am longing to pull more stretchy white things out of my skin. I put up with quite a bit of discomfort and pain just to get the satisfaction of pulling out these stretchy white plugs.
To heal my wounds I use Savlon antiseptic liquid, and they begin to dry up quite quickly.
What are Hard White Spots under the skin?
But this is the most tempting time to pick - the scab becomes very crusty and itchy, and I see little white bumps underneath which could be those white plugs I long to pull out.
They are itchy and I am dying to pull them out! Log in or register to post comments. Take The Test. Katpippy September 03, Log in or register to post comments Hi, this makes me want to look for some lol! I think I saw this being discussed in another topic, have a look for one called "whats underneath your scab" and I think the other was something like "does anyone know what im talking about because I have no idea" x.
As I mentioned in earlier posts, I believe these plugs are glands that supply the skin with oil. They're firmly rooted to the flesh deep beneath the upper layers of skin so that's why the spot bleeds when they are pulled out. I found that if I remove all the plugs that I see or feel and then treat it with sulfur ointment, the wound will quickly dry up. It's just a matter of not picking the scab for about hours during the healing.
I know how hard it is to resist but believe me it works. Since we are pickers, we can't resist popping pimples and removing everything inside them. The irony is that these plugs are beneath the pimple and belong where we see them. Picking them out only makes it worse by allowing us to see more of them. By making the wound larger, we have access to even more and it can take months to heal. If I get a pimple, I treat it several times with the ointment for a day or so and it simply goes away.
I used to pop it and clean it out but that's exactly how the glands get to the surface. Not only does the ointment dry up the pimple but I've found that after a couple of days I can very carefully remove the dried layers of skin and sometimes even remove the dried up gland.

I spent the last 3 damn years figuring this skin infection issue out!! I saw the dermatologist that diagnosed me with papulopustular rosacea. I then researched this and found out about demodex which is a likely cause! These are lil white plugs that if picked at turn into scabs. Underneath the scab is demodex.Guest over a year ago. My 11 yr old had these. They started in his armpit and spread toward his stomach and back and side. We just kept squeezing the hard core out and applying hydro cortisone cream.
His went away. Now my 4 yr old has them and he won't let me squeeze the center out too painful. I don't know if they'll go away on their own. I have been doing some searching and found molluscum contagiosum. His are flesh colored and tiny I am going to start giving him some probiotics and echinacea to boost his immune system and am will apply cortisone cream. Let me know if you find something that works, and I'll keep you posted.

You only need a small one inch piece. They will try to sell you Drywall screws and Drywall Mud. Just tell them you already have it and just need the drywall to make a small home repair. I learned this while working in the construction trades. I've had the problem for 25 years now. Just rub a small piece of the white chalk on your sores and watch them dry up and go away.
I get these small pimples that do not go away, and if left alone they eventually break open. Way deep inside is a tiny white plug and unless this plug is yanked out, my skin will NOT heal properly. A very thin layer of skin will grow over and break, repeatedly, until the plug is out. What type of acne is this? What is the white plug? I asked a dermatologist about this 10 years ago and he had no clue what I was talking about. Does anybody else know? Thanks in advance!
The scabs don't want to heal with these plugs in there and they won't stop coming back. I've been messing with one of my wounds for a year now, sad. I'm 30 now and my acne really isn't all that bad anymore So id be alight if these scabs would just heal normally.
It all starts out with the a pimple. I don't get them very often When it get popped, It usually breaks the skin open enough to need a scab These plugs are white and of a semi hard consistency. Kind of like Dots candy or dry silicone. They aren't usually as big as a rice grain, but can get that big. I notice after I pluck them out they dry out a shrink in size. I use the corner of a pair of finger nail clippers to pluck them out. I've become quite skilled and surgical with them, I don't usually pluck anything but the plug.
But over time It clearly takes its toll. I've pretty much ruled out Demodex.
I'm thinking it's got to be like sebum sacks from like to much sebum production or collagen fill that my body is producing to fill the wound But if that was the case I can pretty much squeeze sticky sebum out of any pore on my face You can't really tell its there But I can just sqeeze almost any pore on my face I got some Tazorac Gel and Cream from my last dermatologist visit He had no idea what I was talking about with regards to these plugs, I wanted to peel of a scab and show him.
He didn't want me to. He probably thought I was crazy. Side question. Did it work good??? Answer Question. Read 6 Responses.
